Here are some of our favourite musical choices from over the past week….Enjoy :)

Skrillex & Diplo feat Justin Bieber – Where Are Now

This is definitely something different for the young Justin Bieber but oh it is a BANGER!?! “Where Are Ü Now” is the second single from Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü, the debut studio album by EDM duo Jack Ü, known individually as Skrillex and Diplo on their respective labels OWSLA and Mad Decent. Of no surprise at all, the song has been reached worldwide success in just a short space of time.  Internationally, the song has peaked within the top ten of the charts in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, New Zealand, Scotland and the United Kingdom, as well as the top twenty of the charts in the Czech Republic, Norway, the Netherlands, Slovakia. The video is pretty impressive with different artistic designs which includes love and peace signs. Some people have claimed to have seen Illuminati signs and quotes about George Bush but watch for yourselves.

Akelle Charles x Louise Rei x Haile – IN2

The musical genes must be very strong in the Charles family, Akelle Charles – brother of Angel actually sound similar to each other in this joint. The Morgan Keyz-directed music video sees a fitting West London block party with cameos from Angel himself & Donaeo. This hiphop/rnb tune no doubt exudes a feel good vibe, we could easily be listening to this in the park with friends or at a family BBQ. It’s the perfect collab for the Summer!

Meek Mill ft Nicki Minaj & Chris Brown – All Eyes on You

All Eyes on You” is a song by American hip hop recording artist Meek Mill, released as the first single from his second studio albumDreams Worth More Than Money, earlier in June. This collaboration was produced by by Alex Delicata, Danny Morris, and co-produced byThe Monarch, Kevin Cossom and DJ Khaled. The Nicki Minaj– and Chris Brown-assisted track is an anthem in the vein of Jay Z and Beyonce’s “’03 Bonnie & Clyde,” as rap’s current It Couple focus all their attention in on one another in what’s quickly become a romantically inclined fan-favorite.

Another great installment of this week’s favourites…..

Benjy – Slaves – Cheer up London

Slaves, one of the most hotly tipped young bands in the UK, are about to unleash their brand new anthem ‘Cheer up London. The song has a very poignant message with a blistering call-to-arms against the malaise of the modern world, a rallying cry against wage slave apathy, and metropolitan cynicism. The duo are touring Europe over the next few months including; Ibiza Rocks next week.

Warren – Lil Mix – Black Magic (Acoustic)

The not-so little mixers have come along way from their previous X-Factor auditions; Simon, certainly knew what he was doing when originally forming the group together 5 years ago. For a TV manufactured group, these ladies really have a set of pipes and have perfect harmonies. . Black Magic went straight to No1 in the UK singles chart before the official release. The video received over 1 millon views in less than 18 hours and 1,46 million in 24 hours. The video peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Twitter Top Tracks on 27 June 2015.

Corene – Moelogo – Do You Love Me

The perfect Summer tune, hands down! Representing UK AfroBeats which is currently being playing on popular radio stations, thanks to artists such as; Fuse ODG & Mista Silva. Produced by prolific hit maker Maleek Berry, ‘Do You Love Me’ is an infectious jam tailor made for the summertime. Laced with a melodious bassline, lush drum patterns and Maleek Berry’s trademark keyboard arrangements, this record sees Moelogo beautifully showcasing his buttery smooth and captivating vocals, with the lyrical dexterity to match, as he lays it all down for his leading lady. We can’t wait to hear more from him over the next year or so.

Welcome back to another healthy portion of #MusicalMondays goodness….

Benjy – Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody

Taking it back a bit with this one. A 1970’s band with fronted by the infamous Freddie Mercury. Apparently, it was their most single to produce which consists of seven sections including; an operatic passage & hard rock section. It spent nine weeks on the UK singles chart and sold over one million copies worldwide. The full production took 3 weeks to record.  In 2004, “Bohemian Rhapsody” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Warren – Wale ft SZA – The Need to Know

Featured on Wale’s fourth studio album, ‘The Album About Nothing’. Released in March with exciting features from Usher, Jeremih, J Cole and SZA. The song is full of soulful rift tones from young American singer, SZA fairly new in the music industry. Sampling the hook to Musiq’s “Just Friends”with production hailing from JGramm Beats. We could imagine playing this on the BassBoomz at a picnic with friends.

Corene – Krept and Konan -Remix (Bennie Man, Jeremih & Popcaan)

The South London have just released their newest album on Itunes ‘ The Long Way Home’ with some massive US features including, Rick Ross, Emeli Sande, Rebecca Garton and YG to name a few. Freek of the Week originally featured Jeremih along with a hot sexy music video. Enabling their Caribbean roots,  in case you weren’t aware, the original beat is an interpolation of Beenie Man’s 90s hit, “Who Am I,” so he’s essentially adding another vocal to his own song. You certainly will be hearing this in the clubs all over the country.
